Since I was a child, I have been inspired by flowers, they have the most captivating colours, forms and textures that enrich our surroundings. I find it incredibly relaxing when I take my time to study them and translate there many qualities into paintings, textile prints and embroideries.

Auction Roses - Detail taken from a large scale commission of soft pink roses. A 'snap shot' of a large established rose bush. I hope it communicates the weight of the rose heads, stages in which the roses were opening and the layers and volume of leaves and blooms.
